Nate (N8) Van Dyke is a freelance illustrator living and working in San Francisco. He's worked in the past for various video game companies as a Senior Concept Artist but has been focusing on his own recognizable brand of illustration through gallery shows, private commissions and freelance artwork for countless companies the world over. When not drawing he may be spotted at his favourite watering hole sharing pints and jokes with friends.
"Doing artwork for a shoe is tricky due to the shape of the "canvas". Years ago when I designed my first Converse hi-top I designed a "Terminator foot" as I thought it a good fit for the shape. This time around I wanted to give my chimp character, "Dutch", the spotlight. I designed him nearly 20 years ago and he has been turned into vinyl toys, appeared all over the world in comics and magazines from countries I can't even read interviews in and I figured that it was high time he got a Baggins Original Hi-Top. My one sentence to describe him is that he doesn't throw rocks... he just returns them. I believe this shoe very well articulates that idea."

They replaced my socks due to poor quality and they fabric is much better quality. They stay on my heels and dont slip off and no holes!!! They sincerely took the customer feedback and stool action. As an entrepreneur who takes customer feedback very seriously, I applaud their action orientation. I am upping my review from 1 star to three. The reason its a three star is simply the fit. They changed the fit with version 2.0. Now I can see the sock when wearing my boat shoes or slip ons. The pendulum swung a little too far. If they could keep the material thickness, heel grip and trim down the exposure to be an actual no see em sock, theyll be a five star for sure!
I havent had these socks for very long an already there are holes developing around my toes. I dont wear my socks without shoes around the house. The thickness of the socks around the toes is not thick enough. The moment you put them on you can already see through them. I knew this is going to be an issue, but I didnt realize my socks were going to be worthless in less that 90 days.
Nice feel and material seems heavier than your Walmart brand. A little expensive but still worth the price.
Don't waste your time and money.
